A Villa at Ridder Country Club Summer Wedding
The wedding of Jen and Trevor was one of our favorites from the 2019 wedding season. As Massachusetts wedding photographers, we have captured endless love stories all over the state. This particular wedding took place on a warm picturesque summer day in August at The Villa at Ridder Country Club. One we arrived at the Villa, we quickly learned that it is a hidden gem of a wedding venue, and for so many reasons.
The Villa is comprised of three separate properties for weddings. There is the Grand Ballroom, The Madera Ballroom, and The Tent. With 3 separate properties and multiple ceremony options, any Boston bride will surely find what she is looking for at The Villa. Jen and Trevor chose the Madera Ballroom for their wedding and it was simply breathtaking. The Madera Ballroom exudes rustic elegance and charm. The ballroom has such striking contrast with its bright white shiplap ceiling and expresso dark wood beams. Inspired by the romantic villa’s in France, with it’s modern Tudor style design, it is the perfect wedding backdrop for both the ceremony and reception if you see fit.
The wedding ceremony was scheduled during golden hour. Golden hour wedding ceremonies do not happen often but I wish all couples would do this! Why is golden hour the perfect time to have your wedding ceremony? Simple! Because the lighting at golden hour is the most magical time of the day and gives everything a warm, golden glow! Just look at how Jen radiates during her entrance to the wedding ceremony at The Villa at Ridder Country Club. Perfection!
Now, as far as first looks go, this wedding topped the charts. Maddy, Jen’s gorgeous four-legged friend was not originally supposed to come to the wedding. But Trevor decided to surprise Jen during their first look and when she walked out of onto the terrace, Maddy was there! The look on the face of the pup was even more epic than the surprised reaction from this bride. It was such an incredible moment and we were so thrilled to be there to capture it.
After the ceremony was over we had just enough time to get Jen & Trevor a few epic shots during the incredible sunset. We traveled by golf caddy over to a bridge on the golf course of the country club to get the perfect background of warm sunset goodness on this gorgeous couple. Five minutes was all we needed and then we were off to the reception and ready to celebrate these two getting hitched!!
